一、用英语描述一位过世的人应该用什么时态？过去时？

亲朋好友因病去世,不能前去参加葬礼,可写封吊唁信,寄给去世者的亲人,表示哀悼之情。关于吊唁信的写法，因为表示的是你现在的感受，所以这样的话可以用现在时表示，比如 I realize your great loss.如果表示的是过去的事可以用一般过去时或者过去完成时，例如He was a fine man .所以不用仅仅局限于过去时，恰当使用即可。
